DAILY PRAYER REQUESTS

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Praise God that today, our nation adopts an attitude of gratitude. Pray that many will consider the source of every good and perfect gift - - -our Lord and Savior Jesus and worship Him.

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and shout joyfully to Him with psalms.  Psalm 95:2.

Can we expect future mercies, if we are not thankful for past blessings?  If a spirit of discontent and murmur is in our hearts, as though God had not dealt kindly with us, are we in a position to approach Him, and implore His gifts so lightly? If we are not impressed with His goodness, have we not missed their principle benefit, and thus disqualified ourselves to ask or receive added favors?  It is not by accident, that the Psalms of David are half petition and half thanksgiving.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for a family that recently lost a mother and daughter to a freak accident.  The daughter's birthday is on Thanksgiving this year.  She would have been seven.  Pray for each person that is hurting from this tragic loss and that the Holy Spirit will bring a comfort and peace that can only come from Him.  Help those of us that remain to cling to our Heavenly Father with both hands and trust in His goodness even through this tragedy.

  • Please pray for Mary. Her dad is dying and her husband is in very poor health. Ask that Jesus will be her hope and comfort.

  • Deb is requesting prayer for her injured knee.  She is praising God that she has surgery schedule December 5. Continue to pray for His comfort for her during this Thanksgiving and Christmas season since she is not able to walk and has many family obligations; taking care of grandchildren, etc.  Also pray that God will reveal His perfect will in her life.

  •  Pray for Elsa who leads our Growing Old Gracefully group. She recently had a PET scan and is praising God that no cancer was revealed. Ask that the Lord will grant the doctors an abundance of wisdom in diagnosing her problem and developing a treatment plan.

  • Please pray for the family and friends of a boy who took his own life at the age of 17 on Thursday November 16th. Please ask that they will be comforted and that they will seek to draw especially close to the Lord during this time. Pray against the spirit of suicide that discourages people and makes them feel hopeless. Pray that everyone will find value, worth and purpose in Jesus.

  • An anonymous person asks that we pray to God to “Restore my relationships with my family.  Help provide for my sister and her three boys.”
