DAILY PRAYER REQUESTES

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”  Proverbs 3:6.

The well-known British preacher F.B. Meyers once said, "Never trust your own judgment.  When your common sense is most sure that you have a certain course of action all figured out, you’ll be wise to make doubly sure by lifting up your soul to God."

If we believe, as we should, that God is smarter, more capable and efficient than we, why do we try to maintain control over our time, our energy, or our resources? Pride gets in our way. Too often there's a big gap between what we know to be true and what our ego wants to believe. So, the next time you feel like you absolutely must have, or be, or do something, think again. Thank God for those seemingly unanswered prayers. Your failed acquisitions and attempts, deferred opportunities and destroyed schedules can all be the result of divine intervention. Trust God. Watch Him make something good of every disappointment.

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for a woman and her grandparents who are very ill. The grandfather has lung cancer and is given no more than three years to live. The grandmother has emphysema and now requires oxygen all the time. The people submitting the prayer request on behalf of the granddaughter, ask that we pray they will best know how to support their friend as she deals with her grandparents’ illnesses.

  • Please pray that Matthew, who is seven-years-old, will stop getting mad so easily.

  • Continue to pray for Addie Abernathy, a four-year-old suffering from very aggressive cancer, and her family. Pray for their comfort, strength and provision. Ask God to heal Addie as only He can.

  • Please pray for Elizabeth. She has a very large ovarian cyst that is causing bleeding problems. Ask the Lord to heal her and also to provide a way for her to take care of the medical debt she is incurring as a result of this illness.  Pray that God will give her confidence and hope. She recently got out of  medical debt associated with a problem she had two years ago. Pray she will not be discouraged.

  • Please pray for Paige who is in a broken place right now. She was raised in a Christian home but  has a hard heart towards God and refuses to turn to Him. Pray that this adversity will bring her to the end of ability and give her the wisdom to look to God.

  •  Please pray for Mary Jo who is currently seeking treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.  She has many health issues. The most critical is a tortuous colon. She has a meeting with surgeons in Arizona on Monday. Pray that they will be able to do the most conservative form of procedure necessary to help her with this issue. She also has stomach ulcers and is unable to eat much. As a result her body weight is very low. If she does have surgery pray that she will recover quickly and be able to return to her husband in Idaho.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. – I John 5:14-15
