Local Outreach

Sharing the love of Christ means helping people, at various ages and stages of life, with lots of different challenges. Here are some of the practical ways Calvary Boise serves the community within our church and beyond our walls.

ADDICTION RECOVERY (Words of Freedom) helps adults and teens struggling with controlling addictions work toward long-term success by the use of Bible studies and the development of practical skills.

AFRICAN CHURCH SERVICES encourage refugees from more than a half-dozen, war-torn countries to know the love of Jesus through Bible study, worship, fellowship, and food.

THE DISTRICT COFFEE HOUSE, in downtown Boise, is the setting for prayer meetings, Bible studies, and fellowship, and also increases awareness for Calvary’s missions work throughout the globe.

ELDERLY OUTREACH (Twilight Hope) trains and sends people to share the love and comfort of Jesus with the elderly, housebound, and ill at senior residences, care facilities, and private homes.

FOOD PANTRY serves those in need of food. They can stop by the church Mon-Fri 9 am-5 pm or during any main service to get food and to be spiritually ministered to by one of our pastors.

LATINO MINISTRY conducts worship services in Spanish each Sunday afternoon and strives to reach the Treasure Valley’s Latino community with the life-changing love of Christ.

LDS OUTREACH (Grace Works) equips Christians to explain their faith to Mormons who either challenge traditional, Bible-based beliefs or have questions about transitioning out of the LDS community.

NEW AGAIN THRIFT STORE - located across from the Calvary campus, offers gently used clothing and household items for sale at discount prices, provides household goods and clothing for the needy, and also raises funds for other local outreaches.

RED LETTER BOOKSTORE, open during weekend services and at various times during the week, offers Bibles at a discount, and also sells a variety of Christian books and resources.
