6:00pm – 10:00am

Category: Global Missions

What is the Great Commission and why does it matter for us corporately as a local church or even individually?

This event is designed to be an experiential learning time for what biblical missions is. Hear from various pastors about reaching the unreached being the heart of church; get more information about local missions organizations and our existing and future missions; and, most importantly, spending time in prayer and fasting and intentionally reaching out to our community with the Gospel.

Glocal Refugee Training Register for the Training

Glocal is a ministry of Cole Community Church, focused on encouraging and equipping the church to participate in Christ’s transformative work with people who have come to Boise, Idaho as refugees. The local world of Boise is now made up of a global community with more than 12,000 people who have moved to Idaho as refugees in the last two decades. These ‘strangers’ in our midst have come from all over the world who bring with them a tremendous diversity of cultures, language, and religions. They also share the common journey of persecution, escape, and survival. They are people who cannot go home or are afraid to go home because of persecution because of their race, religion, nationality, or particular social group.

This new demographic of ‘the world at our door step’ brings with it a tremendous opportunity for the church. This training is an opportunity for the church to learn how to make "the stranger" feel welcome and cared for! We’d love to have you join us It is an opportunity for the church to meet ‘the stranger’ at the foot of the cross, the level ground where we are all in need of a savior, to build authentic friendships!
